Brìgh

Brìgh, led by Tracey MacNeil, derives its name from the Gaelic word for "essence" or "energy". This group showcases the music, dance, stories, and humour that are exclusive to Gaelic Nova Scotia. Brìgh is a two-fold program that offers a 6-month mentorship to youth, where they learn and socialize while exploring various components of Gaelic culture. The culmination of this education is a professional performance at the 60th annual Broad Cove Concert during the summer months.

The youth enrolled in Brìgh are exposed to a variety of unique aspects of Gaelic culture such as language, song, storytelling, dance, and fiddling, among others. Brìgh is a well-rounded and well-focused program that promises to be a delightful experience for all who attend on July 31st.
