Broad Cove Boys

The Boys come by their name honestly, paying tribute to the three beautiful women they married from Broad Cove Chapel Road. Chris Johnston hails from Prince Edward Island, Steve Ashton from Halifax, and Tim Glogowski from Sydney Mines. Upon "marrying in", they quickly adapted to the Broad Cove way-  embracing the importance of the community, culture and the sacredness of the last Sunday in July!

Individually, they have played all over Canada and have shared stages with many top Canadian and Maritime artists.  They bring that collective experience to their shows, characterized by their mix of dual guitars, mandolin, harmony vocals and high energy. In October 2013, Chris and Steve released their first CD (with Tim on mandolin and vocals), featuring 12 originally penned tunes that recall Blue Rodeo, Tom Petty and the local Maritime music they have grown up on.
