Kenneth MacKenzie

Meet Kenneth MacKenzie, a talented piper and fiddler hailing from Mabou, Cape Breton Island. Growing up in a Gaelic-speaking household, the Gaelic culture has played a significant role in his life since his early years. Kenneth honed his skills studying under Scott MacAulay at the College of Piping in Summerside, Scotland, and at the Gaelic College. His music is well-known for its lively and traditional feel, with an irresistible drive that captivates audiences. He has recorded on multiple albums and received the Celtic Colours Driv’ers Award in 2010. In collaboration with his older brother Angus, a renowned musician in Scotland, Kenneth released the album Pìob is Fidheall (Pipes and Fiddle). Kenneth's music has taken him across Atlantic Canada, the US, Ireland, Scotland, the UK, and Central America. When he's not creating music, Kenneth works as an engineer and calls Mabou home.
