About Kevin
Kevin Dugas, hailing from Inverness, Cape Breton, has played the great highland bagpipe for over 25 years. Piping and music tradition run in his family, with notable members including his great-grandfather's family, Hughie Dan MacDonnell of Deepdale Road. Kevin began playing the pipes naturally at 10 and has since become a professional class competitive bagpiper and composer. He has travelled the world as a member of the 78th Highlanders Halifax Citadel Grade 1 Pipe Band for 17 years, garnering influence from piping mentors such as John MacLean, Bruce Gandy, Matt MacIsaac, and Alasdair Gillies. Kevin has also performed with the piping group Nuallan at local and international festivals, including the William Kennedy Piping Festival in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
