About Mac

Meet Mac Morin, a talented dancer and piano player hailing from Troy, Cape Breton. As a teenager, Mac's interest in piano grew alongside his already impressive dancing skills. Today, he has travelled the world as a performer with Natalie MacMaster and Beòlach, while continuing to share his knowledge of Cape Breton step dancing through teaching. In 2014, Mac showcased his talents as Artist in Residence at the Festival. You may have heard his work on numerous artists' recordings, including Beòlach, Natalie MacMaster, Yo-Yo Ma, The Rankins, and Buddy MacMaster. Mac also has a solo album, and Beòlach's third recording was released while they were Artists in Residence in 2019. Mac is a regular at Celtic Colours, where he always has a full schedule of performances and activities.
