About Marion

Marion MacLeod, who earned her Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2013, has shared her work at conferences held by prestigious organizations like the Society for Ethnomusicology, International Council for Traditional Music, Canadian Society for the Study of Traditional Music, The International Association for the Study of Popular Music, and the American Historical Association. Her performances have been featured in various recordings, even two Smithsonian Folkways productions dedicated to Cape Breton Traditional Music. In addition, she remains engaged in both performance and teaching.
