Sabra MacGillvrary

Sabra MacGillivray, originally from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is a talented Highland dancer, step dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She has shared her skills in various countries such as Canada, the USA, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, and Australia while performing and teaching with her siblings as a dancer, piano player, or bodhran player. Sabra achieved a remarkable feat, having been a two-time finalist at Scotland's prestigious World Highland Dancing Championships. She was also invited as one of six Canadian dancers to perform as a guest soloist at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and had performed as a member of the Macquarrie Dancers in the musical production DRUM! Sabra's remarkable story was featured in her dance documentary, Steps with Sabra, produced by New Scotland Pictures. Now residing in Creignish, Cape Breton, she manages her dance school, Celtic Touch Dancers, and recently launched her online instructional Scottish Step Dancing and Hebridean dance video series. Sabra holds a Master of Arts in Dance Performance from the University of Limerick.
