Scott MacMillian

Scott Macmillan is a passionate musician constantly seeking new opportunities to create music. He is known for exploring various genres, including rock, blues, classical, choral, Celtic, jazz, modern, and avant-garde. In March 2019, he performed his concerto for electric guitar with Symphony Nova Scotia, titled "12 & Change." Later that year, he premiered "Woodland Revival," a unique composition featuring Mi'kmaw drummers, Persian, Celtic, and classical musicians. Macmillan has performed worldwide, including at Carnegie Hall, where he and his partner Jennifer Brickenden performed their celebrated composition "Celtic Mass for the Sea." With over 40 years of experience, Macmillan has received numerous awards, appointments, and critical acclaim for his contributions to the music industry in Nova Scotia and beyond. He played an integral role in the success of the late Rita MacNeil and continues to inspire fellow musicians with his talent and passion.
